“These days, the Internet is mostly filled with poorly lit Instagram snapshots. But Fotojournalismus is a tribute to those hardy men and women lugging their SLRs into Burma, Fukushima and the Gaza Strip to bring you firsthand images of the world’s most important events.

During weekdays, you’ll find selections mostly culled from the Associated Press and Reuters, presented with minimal comment. On weekends, the blog is dedicated to the work of a single photojournalist, most recently the work of French legend Marc Riboud, who has been taking photos since 1937. For amateurs looking to get noticed, Monday is the day that submissions are published.”
